BTS - Blood Sweat & Tears

Today I am reviewing the song "Blood sweat & Tears" by South Korean K-pop group BTS (방탄 소년단) or in English "Bulletproof Boy Scouts". The song is off their "Wings" album and is the title track having been released on October 10th, 2016. The album follows a story starting from the first track "Boy meets Evil" performed by J-hope then following into "Blood Sweat & Tears". The next 7 songs are the members individual solo songs that connect with the concept of the album. The "Wings" album is said to have drawn themes and concepts from a novel called "Demian: The Story of Emil Sinclair's Youth". The novel follows themes of temptation, good and evil, moral obligation and more. The members of BTS having all read the novel, used these concepts and themes to help tell their story in their album. As leader RM has stated "The harder a temptation is to resist, the more you think about it and vacillate. That uncertainty is part of the process of growing. Blood Sweat & Tears is a song that shows how one thinks, chooses, and grows". As "Blood Sweat & tears" was the second song I heard by BTS ("Not today" being the first) it was ultimately that song that captivated my attention and made me a fan of BTS and now an ARMY/A.R.M.Y. for life. From the aesthetics of the music video, the acting, the lyrics to the song itself, "Blood Sweat & tears" by BTS will forever be known as the song that kept my interest in K-pop Music and is my favourite song by them.

Thank BTS for introducing me and opening my mind up to K-pop Music, where before I was very against it. I look forward to hearing new music and expanding into more K-pop groups!
